FAQs

Q: Do I have to change my primary doctor to the Health Center doctors?
A: If you are currently an Aetna HMO participant, then no, you will have to change your primary care physician. You can do this by calling 1-800-323-9930 or when you arrive at the 47th Street Health Center (Roosevelt Doctors).

Q: Do I have to use Duane Reade’s Pharmacy to receive the $2.00 generic prescription discount?
A: Yes.  The Duane Reade pharmacy chain is part of our medical enhancement to provide you with reduced generic prescription co-payments.  No other pharmacy will offer these prices.  Also, the prescription must be from a provider at the 47th Street Health Center (Roosevelt Doctors).

Q: Can I go to the 47th Street Health Center (Roosevelt Doctors) even on my day off?
A: Yes. You can go to the 47th Street Health Center (Roosevelt Doctors) at anytime as long as you are an active Marriott Marquis associate with Marriott health coverage. Please note, you have to make an appointment before going.

Q: Does my doctor give Active Health my information?
A: No.  You would have to enroll in Active Health.  Active Health is a separate benefit from your medical plan that helps you to control and maintain your personal health.  You provide your own information to this medical management program.

Q: Do I have to have bad health to use the program?
A: Not at all.  This new enhancement to our medical program is to help make going to the doctor and receiving medical care easier and more convenient and to be a preventive health tool.

Q: Does myhealthcentral.net and 4myhr.com have the same information?
A: No. Myhealthcentral.net is a website designed to help you with the enhancement to your medical benefits and 4myhr.com is designed to help provide information about your specific medical plan, company benefits, and all other Human Resource needs.

Q: Can I use the Duane Reade near my house?
A: Yes. You can use any Duane Reade; delivery service will apply to the 5 boroughs and any Duane Reade along the Hudson River in North New Jersey.

Q: Will I be able to come to work and workout in the new Associate Fitness Center on my off days or on while I’m on vacation?
A: Yes.  Marriott Marquis standards and procedures still apply; you have to receive permission from your manager to come back on property during any unscheduled time.

Q: Will other Marriott associates (Human Resources or Health Services) be able to see my health records from the Health Center?
A: No.  No one at the Marquis will be able to access your health records unless you provide written consent.

Q: Do I have to pay a copay if I get referred out from the 47th Street Health Center (Roosevelt Doctors) to another doctor?
A: Yes.  If you are referred to see another physician outside of the 47th Street Health Center (Roosevelt Doctors) then any and all regular fees will apply.  If you see one of the specialists at the Health Center you will not have to pay a copay.

Q:  If I use the Duane Reade Kiosk, am I able to talk to a live person?
A:  Yes, a live representative from Duane Reade will assist you via the Kiosk.

Q:  What are the delivery options if I use the Duane Reade Kiosk?
A:  You can have your prescriptions delivered to the Marquis, to your home, or you can pick up the prescription at any Duane Reade store.

Q:  What do I do with the original written prescription from the Doctor if I use the Duane Reade Kiosk?
A:  If you are getting the prescription delivered to the Marquis, place the original written prescription into the envelope located at the Kiosk and provide it to the security guard.  If you are picking up your prescription at a Duane Reade store, give the original prescription to the pharmacist at the store.  For home deliveries, you can ask the representative you speak with at the Kiosk for more information.

Q: Can my family go to the 47th Street Health Center (Roosevelt Doctors)?
A: Yes. Your family members are welcomed at the Center and they will receive the same reduced fee as long as that family member is currently enrolled in your medical plan.
